Position OverviewThe Personal Lines Producer is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, proposing, and closing new personal lines property and casualty accounts, as well as maintaining a focus on retention and relationship management for existing clientele. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to business owners, CFOs, and risk managers, identifying operational vulnerabilities and designing comprehensive insurance programs.
This role offers the ideal blend of autonomy and support. While you will be responsible for driving your own pipeline through cold calling, networking, referral partnerships, and direct marketing, you will be backed by an experienced team of dedicated Personal Lines Account Managers and Marketers who will manage the day-to-day policy administration, endorsements, billing inquiries, and remarketing workflows.
Detailed Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe core responsibilities of the Personal Lines Sales Executive encompass the entire business development and relationship lifecycle:
- New Business Development: Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new personal lines accounts through direct prospecting.
- Licensing: Active New Jersey Property & Casualty (P&C) Producer License is required upon hire. Additional state non-resident licenses are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–5+ years of demonstrated sales success, preferably within personal insurance sales
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with an aptitude for negotiations and executive-level presentations.
- Self-Motivation: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a high-volume sales funnel, set self-directed goals
- Tech Fluency: Proficiency with modern insurance software (e.g., AMS360), quoting portals, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant professional insurance designations (e.g., CIC, CRM, CPCU, ARM, CRIS) are highly desirable.
