Manufacturing Technician
Location: Fort Stockton TX
Pay Rate: $22 - $25/hour
No relocation assistance provided
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor related to hazardous/explosive waste processing
- Support thermal treatment of explosive materials and post-treatment cleanup
- Handle highly regulated processes with strict adherence to documentation and paperwork
- Maintain strong attention to detail for compliance and safety procedures
- Work primarily outdoors in extreme temperatures
Required Experience & Skills Must-Have
- Willingness to perform heavy manual labor daily
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat (up to ~120°F)
- Strong attention to detail, especially with paperwork and compliance
- Ability to pass ATF background check for explosives
Preferred
- Forklift experience (not mandatory)
Education
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
Conversion Potential
Yes – opportunity to convert to full-time
Work Environment
- 90% outdoor work in extreme heat (up to ~120°F)
- Facility handles explosive hazardous materials
- Highly regulated, compliance-driven environment
Safety Requirements
- Must be eligible for BATFE Level 4 clearance (employee possessor of explosives)
- Clearance is required due to the handling of explosive materials and is processed through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) after onboarding
- Reference ATF Form 5400.28, which is used to determine the eligibility of an employee possessor to engage in certain explosives operations
Training
- Initial training may require travel to Houston, TX or Kellyville, OK
Shift / Hours
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Overtime
- Yes – as needed
- May include: o Extended weekday hours o Occasional weekend work
