Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days & Nights Available (4x12-Hour Shifts) | 7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across all emergency-type diagnoses at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs; administer IV vasopressors as needed
• Manage and monitor patients requiring CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator support
• Care for patients presenting with CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Conduct cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; perform triage and maintain isolation precautions
• Float within skillset as required; utilize special equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted; NY is not a Compact state)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must include valid NIHSS documentation at time of submission
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience required
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with adult and pediatric emergency department care, including gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma
• Experience managing pediatric spinal cord injury cases
• Familiarity with advanced stroke care protocols and thrombectomy-capable stroke center workflows
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
