Pediatric Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with critical care experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to work in various pediatric settings, including PICU, NICU, ER, and Acute Care. This role requires flexibility and the ability to float as needed based on unit demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients in various settings.
• Administer prescribed aerosol therapies and monitor patient responses.
• Utilize EMR systems effectively to document patient care and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to different units as needed, maintaining competency in required tasks.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active SC RRT license.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, and ACLS.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Experience with pediatric critical care and familiarity with medication systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell.
