OBGYN Hospitalist - Six 24-Hour Shifts Monthly (Opportunity for Additional Shifts and 12-Hour Flexibility)

Our organization is a thriving private OBGYN practice located in San Francisco, with plans to launch a new satellite office in Marin County by late 2026. We are currently in search of a committed OBGYN Hospitalist to join our team and deliver inpatient care at CPMC Van Ness Campus .

Our collaborative environment makes the demanding role of a busy OBGYN Hospitalist both manageable and fulfilling.

Position Highlights

• Hospitalist-Only Role : Focus solely on inpatient care - no outpatient clinic duties

• Schedule : Six 24-hour shifts each month (with the option to take on extra shifts or split into 12-hour shifts when mutually agreed upon)

• Occasional Postpartum Rounding : Coverage when the Nurse Practitioner is unavailable

• Professional Expenses : The practice covers all professional dues, licenses, and malpractice insurance (including tail coverage)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive labor and delivery coverage, including triage assessment, labor management, deliveries, and care for high-risk pregnancies

• Assist in cesarean sections and perform gynecologic surgeries and procedures as necessary

• Oversee postpartum care and manage gynecologic emergencies

• Work closely with outpatient providers, nurses, and advanced practice providers to ensure seamless continuity of care

• Engage in a team-based hospitalist model supported by excellent staff

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a dynamic inpatient setting

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Eligible for medical licensure in California

• Strong clinical expertise in inpatient obstetrics and gynecology

• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities

• Dedication to high-quality, patient-centered care
