Role Overview

eNGINE is seeking two Software Engineers to help design, build, and deliver modern financial systems. This is an opportunity for experienced engineers who enjoy solving complex business problems, building applications from the ground up, and taking ownership of solutions from initial design through production.

The ideal candidates bring a strong foundation in Java, Python, and Spring Boot, experience delivering production-ready applications, and an interest in using modern AI-powered development tools to improve engineering efficiency. You'll work across the technology stack, collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, and contribute to reliable, scalable systems that support financial services.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain financial applications using Java, Python, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
• Take ownership of the software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through deployment and production support.
• Build scalable, maintainable, and reliable systems that meet business requirements and support evolving financial services needs.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf to accelerate coding, testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Evaluate new development tools and automation opportunities to improve engineering workflows and delivery outcomes.
• Contribute to application architecture and technical decisions that support long-term performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Integrate APIs and external services to deliver functionality across interconnected applications and platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews, and continuous delivery practices.
• Share technical knowledge and development techniques with teammates to strengthen collaboration and improve team effectiveness.

What You Bring

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience working within the financial services industry.
• Strong hands-on development skills with Java, C#, or Python, and Spring Boot.
• A proven ability to take applications from initial concept through production deployment.
• Experience building and supporting scalable applications using modern software architecture and development practices.
• Comfort working across multiple layers of the technology stack and adapting to different technical challenges.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, or problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to break down complex requirements into effective solutions.
• An interest in continuous learning and finding better ways to design, build, test, and deliver software.

Preferred Experience

• Experience integrating AI, machine learning, or large language model capabilities into software applications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and development automation.
• Experience working in fast-paced engineering environments with an emphasis on ownership and delivery.
• Experience building systems that support financial workflows, transactions, or other business-critical operations.
