Assistant Web Developer

Salary: $50,000 - 50,000 per year Requirements:

• Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS, with basic JavaScript skills considered an advantage
• Experience using content management systems and updating website content
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, or the ability to learn it quickly
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with close attention to detail
• Capacity to handle multiple requests while keeping documentation accurate and current
• Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent practical experience in web development, IT, digital media, computer science, or a similar field
• Entry-level applicants are welcome; relevant coursework, internships, freelance experience, or personal web projects may be considered in place of professional experience
• Experience with website accessibility, SEO, Google Analytics, Git/GitHub, or digital asset tools is a plus

• Update and maintain website content across our websites and digital platforms
• Support the buildout and upkeep of Microsoft SharePoint sites, pages, document libraries, navigation, and content structure
• Carry out routine website maintenance, including content edits, link verification, image optimization, and general quality checks
• Diagnose website issues and assist with testing across browsers, devices, and responsive layouts
• Help preserve consistent branding, navigation, accessibility, and user experience standards across our websites
• Support SEO efforts, accessibility initiatives, and website analytics reporting
• Document website changes and technical workflows
• Work with departments across our organization on website and digital projects
• Perform additional technology-related duties and support projects as needed

We are Americas Preferred Home Warranty (APHW), and our Technology team supports our websites, SharePoint environments, and other digital platforms. This full-time role is available in a hybrid setting at our Jackson, MI corporate office or remotely for candidates located in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional weekend availability.
