The Mercer Center for IDD Care is a welcoming space designed specifically for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We’ll offer a wide range of services—including primary care, dental care, audiology, imaging, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy—all designed to support the unique needs of our patients. The Dental Assistant supports the dentist in clinical, administrative, and compliance-related functions to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, maintaining patient records, preparing and sterilizing instruments, and supporting front-office operations as needed. This role is essential for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring efficient dental operations. A High School Diploma/GED, along with one year of dental assisting experience. Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures. Manual dexterity to handle and operate dental instruments.
