- Provide medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation) and document in the electronic medical record
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, including diet modifications, supplements, nutrition support, and patient education
- Monitor patient progress using clinical indicators (labs, weight, outcomes) and adjust care plans accordingly
- Deliver nutrition education to patients, families, staff, and community using tailored materials and approaches
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in rounds/meetings, and communicate with providers to optimize care
- Support training of staff, students, and new hires; contribute to policy updates and quality improvement initiatives
- After January 1, 2024 - Master's degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
- Individuals credentialed as Registered Dietitians prior to January 1, 2024, are eligible with a Bachelor's degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
- Successful completion of an internship coordinated undergraduate program, or post graduate program accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
- Preferred: One year of experience as an acute clinical dietitian for entry level practice or 3+ years' experience as an acute dietitian for advanced level practice.
- Lic Dietitian - Must hold a current license or certification specific to the state of employment

- IDFPR - Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation
- Wisconsin
- Reg Dietitian required
- CDR - Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Preferred: Cert Diabetic Educator
- NCBDE - National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators
- Preferred: Certified Nutrition Support Clinician
- NBNSC - National Board of Nutrition Support Certification
- Preferred: Board Certification Specialty from CDR in:
- Oncology Nutrition
- Gerontology Nutrition
- Renal Nutrition
- Pediatrics Critical Care Nutrition
- IA/IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire.
- IA/IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire.
