A dynamic opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a contract basis in the Kansas City, KS area, supporting students across one to three campuses for the remainder of the school year through May 21, 2027. This rewarding role involves working closely under the guidance of district occupational therapists to deliver essential support to students and assist with larger caseloads. You'll have the unique benefit of creating your own weekly schedule based on the needs of your campuses, allowing for flexibility and autonomy in your workflow.

Key Qualifications:

• Current COTA certification and active state licensure
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple site visits
• Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising OTs, teachers, and staff
• Compassionate approach, with excellent communication skills in supporting school-aged children

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy and support services to students as directed by district OTs
• Implement treatment plans, activities, and interventions tailored to individual student needs
• Travel between assigned campuses and maintain a consistent weekly schedule
• Document student progress, prepare reports, and participate in meetings as required
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and educational staff
