As such, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that welcomes candidates from all backgrounds and experience levels.PURPOSE: Directs the activities of warehouse personnel, including receiving, stocking, load building, customer service and deliveries.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Oversees the safe and efficient handling of goods by employees operating forklifts or other machinery ensuring that employees receive the proper training and certification, if necessary.Oversees and coordinates periodic inventory checks; prepares merchandise orders to ensure that identified stock levels meet merchandising requirements at all times; maintains record keeping system to provide immediate access to current stock information when needed.On occasion, will perform the same duties as other yard personnel. Other duties may be assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has supervisory responsibilities.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and five or more years of experience performing and coordinating yard or warehousing activities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.COMPETENCIES:Advanced knowledge of warehouse operations and handling of all machinery and equipment; maintains certification to operate such if required.Ability to plan and coordinate work processes to maintain and increase manpower and equipment efficiencyCommunication skills sufficient to speak before teams and work groups to explain work rules, product standards and productivity goalsAbility to read and write work schedules and reportsKnowledge of basic math, counting and estimatingCustomer service orientationProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteProficient in Dayforce preferredProficient in DDMS preferredWORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:Work is performed primarily in an outdoor yard environment, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust.Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.May be required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling.Successful, innovative, and fulfilling careers are built here, and your professional development is a high priority.
