Job Title: Tax Preparer
- Tax Preparation: Accurately prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Compliance & Review: Audit financial records to ensure all filings are accurate, complete, and compliant with current IRS regulations.
- Strategic Advising: Identify tax strategies, credits, and deductions to maximize client returns and minimize liability.
- Client Relations: Provide white-glove customer service, translating complex tax laws into clear, actionable advice for clients.
- Audit Support: Assist clients with audits or inquiries from tax authorities as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work alongside senior accounting staff to streamline service delivery and maintain high standards of excellence.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- Education: Background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with professional tax software (e.g., Drake Software, UltraTax, or Lacerte) is highly preferred.
- Tax Knowledge: Strong, up-to-date understanding of federal and state tax laws.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a "client-first" mentality.
- Bonus: Prior experience in a sales or business development capacity is a plus!
