Meat Cutter

Provide excellent customer service by making meat cuts look professional, rotating and filling the meat case, and maintaining good hygiene and clean work area. Requirements/Responsibilities Examples Of Work Performed:(Work responsibilities may vary, depending on assignment) Must be able to cut all meats. Cleans up meat dept. Takes care of meat counters. Helps train other personnel in the dept. Friendly personality. Positive Attitude. Check for out of date or damaged product. Follows safety procedures. Uses care in handling products. Excellent customer service skills. Follows security procedures. Observes and replaces substandard products. Any other responsibilities assigned by manager. Assists on the frontend to help bag and carryout groceries to customers' vehicle. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility: None. Work Environment The associate is required to work in cool environment handling raw fresh meat. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. Will be using a saw, knife, grinder and slicer regularly. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to treat each customer with respect and in a friendly manner. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to work flexible hours as needed and scheduled. Patience in dealing with customers and other individuals. Ability to handle required lifting duties. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required For Full-Performance Requires the ability to independently perform all of the duties of the position efficiently and effectively. Knowledge of store layout.
