Lead Specialist - Sourcing

Summary:The Lead Sourcing Specialist – Retail Fuel Distribution is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to reduce costs and deliver stakeholder value. Experience with image & branding, marketing & sales support, distribution, construction, maintenance, PMO, MRO, OEM equipment, spare parts, or other Retail related fields is a plus. The successful candidate should have experience leading sourcing events and category analysis. Experience in the fuel/midstream/energy space is also desired. The scope of the position will include leading the preparation and execution of sourcing processes, contract & supplier management, stakeholder engagement and value creation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead analysis, development and implementation of cost savings initiativesGenerate strategic inputs and supply market information to influence business decisions and act as a conduit for procurement activitiesLead complex negotiations, contract development, contract implementation, and supplier contract complianceWork with appropriate stakeholder teams to identify areas of opportunityQuantify savings related to opportunity and work with business team to ensure savings are realized through vendor management and budget processConduct ongoing business reviews to ensure suppliers are performing to contracted obligations and service levelsLead the suppliers and stakeholders of the supply chain through effective engagement and communication by delivering supplier awareness programs.Solicit advice from manager regarding procurement processes and protocol and apply appropriate solutions to issues for stakeholders.Required SkillsRequirements:Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, or technical disciplineExperience in supporting supplier portfolio developmentCustomer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skillsProven record of driving cost savings throughout a complex organizationAbility to structure and lead complex projectsAbility to think strategically, conceptually and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendationsYears of work experience: 8+ years of experienceData analytics, sourcing, procurement systems, and customer service. Confident leading and influencing decisions at an executive levelBusiness software applications: Microsoft Office, Agiloft or other contract management software, and SAP or other purchasing software. Working Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
