Talent RecruiterA motivated Talent Recruiter will focus on hiring skilled trades and field employees for our crews across 19 states. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of hard-to-fill markets and knows that the best recruiting happens before a job ever opens.Rate: $20.00 – $24.00/hourRSC Mechanical, Inc. is a mechanical contracting company headquartered in Clinton Township, Michigan, with field operations in 19 states. Our administrative team supports office and field employees across every market we serve, and we're looking for people who want to do meaningful work with a team that values accuracy, follow-through, and good judgment.Role ExpectationsFull-Cycle Field Recruiting: Manage the hiring process from start to finish for skilled trades and field roles, including job postings, sourcing, phone screens, coordinating interviews with field leadership, and extending offers.Pipeline Building in Hard-to-Fill Markets: Build relationships with trade schools, career and technical education programs, community colleges, apprenticeship and workforce organizations, and veterans' programs. Maintain a bench of pre-screened candidates so we're ready when projects need people.Candidate Screening: Verify trade experience, certifications, and licenses. Our crews travel from job to job within a regional area of their state, so you'll clearly explain travel expectations and pay practices and confirm candidates are comfortable with the work before an offer is made.Job Advertising: Write and post job ads on job boards, trade-specific sites, and social media, and manage sponsored postings. Make sure every posting includes pay ranges where state law requires it.Employee Referrals: Promote RSC's employee referral program with field crews and track referred candidates through the process.Office & Administrative Hiring: Assist in recruiting for office and administrative roles, and support the Director of Talent.Hiring Manager Partnership: Hold intake meetings with managers to understand staffing needs, project timelines, and what a great hire looks like for each role.Pre-Employment & Handoff: Coordinate background checks and drug screens, then hand new hires off smoothly to the onboarding team for the 4-day remote field orientation.New Hire Check-Ins: Check in with new hires at 30, 60, and 90 days, and use what you learn to improve both recruiting and onboarding.Metrics & Data: Keep candidate records accurate in UKG and report on time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, and 90-day retention.Recruiting Events: Attend job fairs, school visits, and community hiring events. Some minimal travel may be required.Preferred Experience / Education2–4 years of recruiting experience, ideally in high-volume or skilled trades hiring.Experience recruiting for construction, mechanical, or other field-based roles is a plus.Bachelor's degree in a business- or people-focused field, or equivalent recruiting experience.QualificationsConfident, persuasive phone presence and a persistent, proactive approach to sourcingStrong organization and the ability to manage many open positions across multiple marketsExperience with LinkedIn, Indeed, and other sourcing toolsExperience with UKG or a similar HRIS/ATS is preferredKnowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to travel occasionally for recruiting eventsBenefitsMedical, Dental, OpticalShort Term DisabilityLong Term Disability401k match up to 5%Paid Time OffWeekly pay every FridayWork ScheduleMonday to Friday
