Key Qualifications:

• Certification and registration as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) credential
• Valid state license as required by law
• Prior hands-on experience with vascular and nonvascular interventional procedures
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and sterile technique
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity settings

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate IR imaging equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Assist physicians during interventional and angiographic procedures
• Position and monitor patients, ensuring comfort and safety throughout each step
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment as needed to ensure optimal operation
• Adhere strictly to infection control policies and all quality standards
• Complete accurate records and document relevant procedure information in electronic health records
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations or procedure changes
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, providing reassurance and explanations as appropriate
