Senior Project Manager

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for a remote position with a global medical technology company located in Michigan. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity.

This position is in the Human Resources function, with specific responsibility for a project intended to drive improvements in the process of extending offers of employment to European candidates. Through excellent project management and problem-solving practices, this role will be positioned to guide and manage projects that are instrumental in achieving functional strategic priorities. The Senior Project Manager will be considered a subject matter expert for best practices in project management and execution and will contribute to the growth and evolution of the HR PMO.

Responsibilities:

• Actively manage complex, multi-functional, full-cycle projects on a regional or global scale to support HR in delivering process improvements, business transformations, system integrations, and technology innovation deployments
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on project methodology, providing guidance and coaching to the project team
• Contribute to the advancement of the PMO function through the creation and improvement of project resources, tools, templates, and systems
• Define, track, and monitor core project deliverables, including scope, objectives, budget, tasks, risks, and issues
• Guide and manage the project team in developing comprehensive plans for project discovery and implementation
• Develop risk management plans to actively identify, analyze, and monitor project risks and issues
• In partnership with the Project Lead, develop and execute a Stakeholder Management plan
• Establish and facilitate project-level governance to ensure the project follows established procedures and meets business requirements
• Organize and facilitate key project activities, such as kick-off, team meetings, and lessons learned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in information systems, computer science, human resources management, engineering, business administration or a related discipline required
• 6 years of project management-related experience
• Experience within the Human Resources, Procurement, or IT function
• Demonstrated experience and familiarity with project management tools, concepts, and methods such as Waterfall, Agile or Lean
• Demonstrated experience managing or leading projects of varying complexity through the full project life cycle
• Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to achieve clear project scope
• Ability to partner, influence, and work with all levels of the organization

Desired skills:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience using Lean methodologies, practical problem-solving, or continuous improvement tools
• Experience supporting complex, multi-functional projects where project discovery was needed before implementation
• High in emotional intelligence and stays calm under pressure
• Ability to multi-task and manage time in navigating competing priorities
• Reasonable flexibility with work schedule to support project coordination needs of a global team

Pay range: $56.61 - $66.61 per hour
