Rental Shop Production Assistant

We deliver solutions from our Custom Fabrication shop and our Rentals Division is here to accommodate the needs of clients who may not have the time or budget to have a set custom made to spec. We’re constantly on the lookout for dependable people to add to our crew of skilled carpenters and scenic artists. Rental Shop Production Assistant supports the daily operations of Readyset’s rental department, with a focus on order accuracy, inventory organization, and asset accountability. This role is responsible for ensuring that all rental orders are complete, correct, and properly prepped before leaving the shop, and that all returned items are checked in, accounted for, and evaluated for damage or missing components. This is an entry-level production role with a strong emphasis on organization, attention to detail, and ownership, with opportunities to grow into fabrication and scenic carpentry.
SPECIFICATIONS
Pull and stage rental orders from order sheets Verify all items, components, and accessories before release Cross-check orders to prevent missing or incorrect items Flag issues or inconsistencies before orders leave the shop Assist with loading and unloading orders Confirm outgoing orders match pick lists Check in all returned items thoroughly Identify and report missing or damaged items immediately Maintain organization of rental inventory and storage Track movement of assets between shop and jobs Return items to proper locations in clean, usable condition Communicate clearly with Coordinators and Producers regarding missing items Communicate clearly with Coordinators and Producers regarding damaged returns Communicate clearly with Coordinators and Producers regarding escalating issues early to avoid job impact Maintain clean and organized work areas Assist with shop upkeep and daily resets Learn basic carpentry to repair and recondition rental items #J-18808-Ljbffr Ready Set IncVacancy posted 16 hours ago
