Open up opportunities with HPE.**Job Description:**HPE Networking is seeking a hands-on strategy leader to help shape the direction of the business and drive execution of its highest-priority initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Strategy for our networking business, the Director, Strategy & Execution will help define strategic priorities, evaluate growth opportunities, inform investment decisions, lead high-impact initiatives, and drive execution against key business objectives. The successful candidate will be a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, combining rigorous problem solving, fact-based analysis, sound business judgment, and a strong focus on outcomes. The ideal candidate brings the structured thinking of top-tier strategy consulting, a strong bias for action, and a track record of translating strategy into measurable business results. This position can be located in Houston, TX or San Jose, CA **Key Responsibilities****Shape Business Strategy*** Assess growth opportunities, market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging industry shifts.* Develop fact-based recommendations to inform business, portfolio, investment, and partnership decisions.* Partner with senior leaders to define strategic priorities and long-term business direction.* Help address the most critical business questions facing HPE Networking. **Lead High-Impact Strategic Initiatives*** Lead the company's highest-priority strategic projects from problem definition through recommendation, decision, execution, and impact.* Structure and solve complex business problems requiring cross-functional leadership and executive alignment.* Develop executive-level analysis, recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership.* Serve as an internal advisor on critical business challenges and opportunities. **Drive Strategic Execution*** Translate strategic priorities into clear action plans and measurable outcomes.* Align stakeholders and functions to accelerate execution.* Identify risks, barriers, and interdependencies that may affect strategic objectives.* Maintain momentum and ensure initiatives deliver intended business results. **Executive Partnership*** Serve as a trusted thought partner to the VP, Strategy & Business Development.* Support executive planning, strategic reviews, leadership offsites, and other high-priority business forums.* Frame complex business issues, challenge assumptions, and develop actionable recommendations.* Build alignment and support decision-making across the Networking leadership team. **Build Strategic Insight*** Develop a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, competitive positioning, and industry developments.* Apply a fact-based approach to strategic decision-making.* Generate insights that shape strategic choices and improve business performance. **Qualifications*** 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, strategic planning, business transformation, or a related field.* Proven experience leading complex strategic initiatives from concept through execution.* Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and structured-thinking skills.* Strong executive communication and presentation capabilities.* Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and build alignment in large, matrixed organizations.* Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments while staying focused on outcomes. **Preferred Experience*** Experience at a leading strategy consulting firm, such as McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, etc.* Experience in enterprise technology, networking, cloud, security, infrastructure, or a related industry preferred.* MBA or equivalent advanced degree* Proven track record of driving AI to make strategy teams more productive and efficient **Leadership Characteristics*** Hands-on and willing to personally lead analysis, develop recommendations, and drive execution.* Combines strategic insight with operational discipline.* Intellectually curious and fact-based in decision-making.* Strong executive presence with the ability to influence without authority.* Bias for action and accountability.* Comfortable working across strategy formulation, executive alignment, and execution.* Operates as both strategist and operator, turning priorities into measurable business outcomes. **Success in this role will be measured by:*** The quality of strategic decisions enabled.* The impact of strategic initiatives delivered.* The effectiveness of executive alignment.* The business outcomes generated by the company's highest-priority initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hewlett Packard Enterprise
