Job Description Registered Nurse Location: Florence Service Processing Center, 3250 North Pinal Parkway, Florence, AZ 85132 Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, OT available Contract: Subcontract Duration: 1-5 years Shift: 8/10/12 hours, Days/Nights Education Level: RN Job Category: Health Care Start Date: ASAP Summary: Vighter is currently seeking multiple candidates for a Registered Nurse - Critical Illness (many specialities are welcome) for positions in Florence, AZ. The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants. Includes, but not limited to: Ambulatory Care Apheresis Behavioral Health Breast Health Burn Unit Cardiac Care Unit Cardiac Cath Lab Cardiac Rehabilitation Charge Nurse Community Health Critical Care Deployment Health Dermatology Diabetes Discharge Planning Disease Management Emergency Medicine Endoscopy Family Practice Gastroenterology General Surgery Genetics Health Educator Health Promotion Hematology Hemodialysis Infection Control Inpatient Intensive Care Internal Medicine Labor and Delivery (including Lactation Consultant) Maternal Child Medical/Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Nephrology Neurology OB/GYN Occupational Medicine Operating Room Ophthalmology Orthopedics Pain Management Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Pediatrics Plastic Surgery Pulmonary Psychiatric/Mental Health Radiology Rheumatology Sleep Medicine Special Care Unit Special Needs Urgent Care Urology Vascular Women's Health Responsibilities Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission. The data collected forms the basis of an individualized plan of care. Identifies teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient from the nursing admission assessment and by collaborating with the patient/family and the Interdisciplinary team. Provides patient information and status in a timely manner for the Initial Team Conference and for Re‑evaluation Team Conferences on a weekly basis. Is responsible and accountable for accurate, succinct and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions and patient’s response in the medical record in accordance with policy. Coordinates patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitates the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness. Ensures compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF. Performs physical exam and health histories. Provides health promotions, counseling, and education. Administers medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Directs and supervises care provided by other healthcare professionals. Is accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel. Recognizes adverse signs and symptoms and quickly reacts in emergency situations. Communicates and collaborates with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. Makes referral appointments and arranges specialty care as appropriate. Performs nursing services identified in the TO. Conducts research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes. Prioritizes activities and plans for effective use of time and staff in meeting patient needs. Performs other duties as requested.
