Registered Occupational Therapist - Lymphedema Certified

The Occupational Therapist works under the supervision of leadership. Evaluates plans and implements treatment programs for the rehabilitation of patients as directed by a provider using approved treatment procedures. Provides patient/family education. Participates in family conferences. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates patients referred by providers.
• Establishes goals that maximize the patients recovery.
• Plans a treatment program using appropriate treatment procedures that will best accomplish the established goals.
• Implements the treatment program using approved procedures.
• Documents treatment procedures and the patients response to them on a regular basis.
• Responsible for treatment procedures documentation and supervision of occupational therapy assistants occupational therapy students and Rehab Aide when appropriate.
• Participates in staff meetings family conferences and interdisciplinary team conferences when appropriate.
• Participates in continual process improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree - Graduate of accredited Occupational Therapy school with Bachelor of Science/ARTS. - Required

Work Experience:

Licenses and Certifications:

Occupational Therapist (OT) - Licensed in State of Missouri - Required within 60 Days

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required within 90 Days

Travel Requirements:

Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed. - Required
