About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of prior experience required, with 2 years in a large, urban hospital License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; CPI and NIH preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Experience administering cardiac drips Description: This position involves working in a fast-paced, specialty medical/surgical unit. The unit cares for cardiovascular patients, including stable heart and lung transplants and patients with Ventricular Assist Devices. Staff will provide growth in professional knowledge and expertise in cardiovascular care. Patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 during the night, with rare instances of 1:7 at night. Registered Nurses must be prepared to float frequently based on hospital staffing needs. Floating may include multiple units, depending on the needs of the facility. The contracted hours may include a 36 or 48-hour option over 13 or 26 weeks. Weekend shifts may require working four weekends out of eight possible in a four-week period. Travelers are expected to work two out of three major holidays. This facility operates as a 100% nicotine-free environment.
