Manufacturing Process Engineer

TheManufacturingEngineerisresponsiblefordesigning,implementingandreviewingtheproceduresandequipmentinvolvedinthemanufacturingprocess.Theirdutiesincluderesearchingautomationtechniques,testingnewsystemsforefficiencyandplanningfactorylayoutstooptimizeproduction.Thisrolewillhelpdevelopquotesfornewandexistingcustomerswhileensuringthebestpriceandthehighestqualitystandardsaremaintained. Essential Duties, Functions And/or Responsibilities Performtoolingdesignfornewpartrequirementsandplaceorderswithtoolingmanufacturers. Supportquoterequestsfromothercompanysalespeopleandmanufacturingbranches. Selecting,managing,andworkingwithsub-contractorsforequipmentandfacilityuptimeandmaintenanceprograms. Evaluatemanufacturingprocessesandmakerecommendationsforimprovementsinqualityandforcontinuousimprovementactivities. Analyzeproductionprocesses,schedules,methodsandotherdataandthenprovidemanagementwithreportscontainingthedataandstatisticstoenablemanagementtobetterunderstandfuturerequirementsneededforthemanufacturingprocess. Ensurethatthecompany’smanufacturingprocessesfollowallgovernmentlawsandregulations. Reviewandcalculatelabor,materialandotherproductioncostsalongwithreviewingschedulesandfutureproductionrequirementstoassistmanagementindecisionmaking. Analyzeandplanworkflow,equipmentplacementandspacerequirementstoimprovemanufacturingefficiency. Coordinateequipmentmaintenanceandrepairservicesandmakesurethatmanufacturer’sproceduresandinstructionsarefollowedtokeepproductionequipmentoperational. Directlyresponsibleforproductquality. Otherdutiesasassigned. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements Bachelor’sdegreeorequivalentindustryexperienceinMechanicalorIndustrialEngineeringorrelatedfieldpreferred 5+years’experienceincustomconverting;includingrotary,steelrule,andClassAtooling. Demonstratesdiscretion,confidentiality,independentjudgmentandprofessionalism. Abilitytoworkwithminimalsupervisionandguidance,exercisingdiscretionandindependentjudgment. ActivelyparticipateinLeanprojectsandactivitiesincluding5S,TPM,VSM,etc. Fundamentalknowledge/experienceinmaintainingISO/QualitySystemprocedures. ExperiencewithAutoCAD/Inventororequivalentpreferred. Advanceddiecuttingtechniques Mustbeabletoreadcustomers’designprints Stronganalyticalskills Goodinformationtechnologyskills Problem-solvingandanalyticalability Attentiontodetailandexcellentfollow-upskills Abletocooperateinateamatmosphere ProficientinMSOfficeproducts:Word,ExcelPowerPoint,Outlook KnowledgeofISO9001,AS9100,and/orISO13485preferred. Physical Requirements AbilitytosafelyandsuccessfullyperformtheessentialjobfunctionsconsistentwiththeADA,FMLAandotherfederal,stateandlocalstandards,includingmeetingqualitativeand/orquantitativeproductivitystandards.
