Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med Surg/Telemetry patients, including patient assessment, monitoring, and vital signs management.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, identifying and addressing any cardiac irregularities promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and health management strategies.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; an Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) is acceptable with relevant experience.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry or related nursing specialty.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
