Monitor instrument decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution processes. Ensure compliance with AAMI, Joint Commission, infection prevention, and hospital standards. Oversee staff workflow, productivity, and quality assurance activities. Coordinate instrument availability for surgical procedures. Manage case carts and instrument tray preparation. Support specialty service lines including trauma, robotics, orthopedics, transplant, cardiac, and neurosurgery. Monitor biological and chemical indicator testing. Ensure proper documentation within Censitrac and Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM). Review sterilization records and quality metrics. Oversee loaner instrumentation processing and tracking. Support endoscope and flexible scope reprocessing operations. Troubleshoot sterilization equipment issues and workflow challenges. Ensure compliance with department policies and regulatory standards.
