PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our meat processing and production facility. This role is responsible for leading production employees, ensuring product quality and food safety standards are maintained, and supporting efficient workflow throughout the production process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is committed to maintaining the high-quality standards associated with premium meat products.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily production activities within meat processing, packaging, and distribution operationsEnsure production goals, quality standards, and customer specifications are consistently metMonitor workflow and staffing to maximize productivity and minimize downtimeEnforce company policies, USDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standardsTrain, coach, and support production employees while promoting accountability and teamworkConduct routine floor inspections to ensure sanitation, safety, and quality complianceCoordinate with Quality Assurance, Shipping, Maintenance, and other departments to support operational needsMonitor yields, product handling, and inventory usage to reduce waste and improve efficiencyAssist with employee scheduling, attendance tracking, and performance managementInvestigate and address production issues, equipment concerns, or employee incidents promptlyEnsure accurate completion of production paperwork, reports, and operational documentationSupport continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies throughout the facilityHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional manufacturing or supervisory training preferred2–5 years of supervisory experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, or a related production environment preferredStrong understanding of USDA regulations, food safety standards, GMPs, and HACCP practices preferredAbility to lead teams in a fast-paced, refrigerated production environmentStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skillsBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and production reporting systemsBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusPreferred Skills and TraitsHands-on leadership style with strong floor presenceAbility to motivate teams and maintain accountabilityStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesDetail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistencyFlexible and adaptable to changing production demandsStrong sense of urgency and follow-throughWork EnvironmentRefrigerated meat processing and production facilityFrequent standing, walking, lifting, and monitoring of production areasExposure to cold temperatures, raw meat products, and industrial equipmentMay require overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling based on production needsMeats by Linz, founded in 1963, is a fourth-generation family-owned premier meat purveyor.
