JEM Treatment, Inc is looking for a passionate and dedicated Addiction Counselor (CADC) to join our team in Waukegan, IL. In this role, you'll make a real difference in the lives of individuals on their journey to recovery by providing compassionate, evidence-based counseling and support. Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients in addiction treatment programs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments
• Conduct intake assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations for new clients
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed throughout the recovery process
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups focused on substance use, coping skills, and relapse prevention
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including medical staff, case managers, and social workers
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency standards
• Connect clients with community resources and coordinate discharge and aftercare planning

Requirements:

• Active CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) certification in the state of Illinois
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment or a behavioral health setting preferred
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices including CBT, motivational interviewing, and 12-step facilitation
• Strong assessment, documentation, and case management skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse client population in various stages of recovery
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centered approach
• Familiarity with Illinois SUPR regulations and HIPAA compliance standards
