What You’ll Do

• Provide 24-hour coverage for STEMI and inpatient cardiology cases
• Perform complex procedures including heart catheterizations, angiographies, PTCA, atherectomy, and intravascular ultrasound
• Support inpatient consults, read echocardiograms, and interpret EKGs for unassigned patients
• Collaborate with RNs in the cath lab and assist with patient care in a multidisciplinary team
• Take part in cardiac emergencies and manage pre- and post-procedure patient needs

What You Need

• Required: MD/DO board certification in cardiology; Illinois license or ability to license; ACLS and CSR certifications; minimum 2 years post-fellowship experience
• Preferred: Experience with advanced interventional procedures and inpatient consults

About the Assignment

This position involves supporting inpatient cardiology services, including performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in a hospital setting. The role requires on-site presence during scheduled shifts to deliver high-quality care for adult patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
