Wound Care Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Wound Care Nurse to join our team at Tulsa Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to our residents, supervise and coordinate the work of other nursing staff, and ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care in a supportive and respectful environment.

Required Qualifications:

• A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.

• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in practicing state.

• Current CPR certification.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides direct nursing care to residents, including wound care, medication administration, and assistance with daily living activities.

• Supervises and coordinates the work of other nursing staff, including certified nursing assistants and med techs.

• Participates in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.

• Observes for changes in residents' status and notifies the physician and resident's family or representative as needed.

• Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.

• Performs wound treatments and monitors wound progress.

• Provides education and support to residents, families, and staff on wound care and skin integrity.
