ESY - Speech/Language Pathologist Position Type: Summer Positions: Summer School and ESY/ Summer School Teaching Date Posted: 2/4/2026 Location: York Community High School Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 is seeking a Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist to support our students during Extended School Year Programming. About our ESY Program The Extended School Year (ESY) program is designed for students with disabilities who require specialized academic and related services to meet their individualized goals with support beyond the normal school year. Eligibility for ESY is determined by each student's IEP team, including parents/guardians, and is provided at no cost to families of eligible students. ESY offers small class sizes and the support of a full special education team. Students in the program may receive social work, speech language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, the support of educational assistants, and other services, in accordance with their IEPs. Teams will consider the severity of the student's needs, evidence of past loss of skills during extended breaks from school, and patterns of recoupment of skills in each area of need when returning from breaks in determining eligibility for ESY. Summer Programs Schedule All Summer Programs are currently scheduled to run Monday through Thursday beginning on Monday, June 1, 2026 and continuing through June 25, 2026. Staffing Details Hours: 7:25 a.m. – 1:05 p.m. Hourly rate: $47.95 Additional two paid days: Week of May 25, 2026; 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Qualifications IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with proper endorsement, including Speech and Language Pathology, and registered in DuPage County.
