Loss Prevention Officer

Continental Secret Service Bureau, Inc. is a family‑owned company in its third generation. Continental is a full‑service contract security company that has protected clients’ businesses or property since 1919. The corporate office is in Toledo, Ohio, and operations extend through Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. Security Officers will work under the Loss Prevention section of Continental for a retail box store.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Includes but is not limited to: Loss Prevention Officers will work as uniformed retail Loss Prevention Officers. Responsibilities include monitoring cameras for potential shoplifters, confronting and stopping them, writing detailed incident reports, and testifying in court. Officers must also provide customer service, communicate effectively with staff and customers, and network with local Law Enforcement to deter and apprehend shoplifters. Schedule Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Tuesday – Saturday, 1100–1900 hours. Requirements Must pass a pre‑employment criminal background check and drug screen. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have security experience and strong customer service skills. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Military veterans are encouraged to apply. Summary As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will safeguard company assets and minimize theft through surveillance, loss prevention strategies, and conflict management. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will use CCTV monitoring and loss prevention techniques, write detailed reports, and maintain a secure environment.
