LINE COOK POSITION SUMMARYEstefan Kitchen Orlando is looking for a hardworking, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while upholding exceptional food quality standards, hygiene, and safety regulations in compliance with local and federal health codes.KEY RESPONSABILITIES:Food Preparation & Cooking:Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Estefan Kitchen Orlando’s authentic Latin cuisine recipes and presentation standards.Set up and stock cooking stations with the necessary ingredients and tools before service.Ensure all food is prepared fresh, cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully to meet guest expectations.Follow precise portion control and ingredient measurements to maintain food cost and quality consistency.Health & Safety Compliance:Adhere to all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations, including FDA and OSHA standards.Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by following strict hygiene and food handling procedures.Store ingredients properly using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to prevent waste and contamination.Monitor and record food temperatures, ensuring all dishes meet food safety standards.Follow SERV Safe guidelines and use proper kitchen PPE to ensure a safe work environment.Kitchen Efficiency & Teamwork:Work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak dining hours.Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and quick turnaround times.Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and proper ingredient storage.Adapt to changes in the menu, special requests, and last-minute modifications.Qualifications & Skills:Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant.Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Excellent knife skills, timing, and multitasking abilities.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.SERV Safe certification or other food safety certification is a plus.Passion for Latin cuisine and a strong work ethic.Speak English & SpanishWork Environment & Expectations:Must be comfortable working in a high-energy, hot, and fast-paced kitchen.Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.At Estefan Kitchen Orlando, we take pride in delivering an authentic and memorable dining experience inspired by Latin flavors.
