About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Cath Lab/ IR experience Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the cardiac catheterization lab. The unit has 2 labs and 5 patient bays. Patient ratios are determined by staff availability. Currently, there are 2 full-time registered nurses and 5 full-time registered cardiovascular invasive specialists on the team. The unit utilizes GE/MacLab equipment. Documentation is performed using a designated system. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 0700 to 1530, with after-hours on-call shifts. There is a floating policy in place. This role requires pre, intra, and post-care management for cardiac patients. The dress code entails wearing royal blue scrubs. The unit consistently performs approximately 3 STEMI cases per month. On-call responsibilities are minimal, resulting in a manageable workload. Additional information about the unit's policies and guidelines is available.
