Brief Description CAMS at CPV Three Rivers Energy Center is hiring an Commercial or Industrial Electrician. This position serves as an electrical subject matter expert, supporting plant reliability through advanced diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems. Operations & Maintenance Technician This role is best suited for candidates with a strong background as a Commercial or Industrial Electrician. The focus is on electrical maintenance and troubleshooting within a cross‑functional maintenance team. Mechanical aptitude is beneficial, but the role is electrically focused rather than multi‑craft. The Three Rivers Energy Center is a highly efficient 1,250 MW single‑shaft natural gas combined‑cycle facility featuring GE 7HA.02 gas turbines and GE A650 steam turbines with air‑cooled condensers. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including power distribution, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), control systems, and associated equipment. Perform predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance on plant electrical infrastructure. Lead electrical troubleshooting efforts during forced outages and equipment failures. Perform advanced diagnostics on medium‑ and low‑voltage systems. Support and execute electrical work during planned outages, overhauls, and major maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards, including arc flash, LOTO, and PPE requirements. Respond to plant upset events and emergencies to support 24/7 operations. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures, with a focus on electrical systems, and recommend corrective actions. Collect and analyze electrical and instrumentation data to support reliability improvements. Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS. Assist with spare parts inventory related to electrical systems. Conduct all work in a safe, professional, and environmentally responsible manner. Other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Background as a Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician strongly preferred. 3–5+ years of hands‑on electrical maintenance experience in power generation, industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments. Demonstrated experience working with medium‑voltage systems (4160V+) highly preferred. Strong working knowledge of AC/DC circuits, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, three‑phase motors, and circuit breakers. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues using testing and troubleshooting procedures. Ability to read and interpret single‑line diagrams, electrical schematics, prints, and P&IDs. Familiarity with predictive and preventative maintenance programs and reliability best practices. Experience using CMMS systems for work order management and documentation. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on sustainable solutions. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer‑based tools. Physical requirements include lifting 50 lbs, standing for long periods, walking, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, etc. Summary Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, as this position requires occasional travel for company business.
