Estimator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join a growing civil construction and site development team. This individual will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and residential site development projects.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is not completely green but still early in their estimating career and looking to continue developing within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compensation

• Target compensation range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
• Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for civil/site development projects
• Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and bid documents
• Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Assist in preparing bid proposals and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with project managers and operations teams to ensure estimate accuracy
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits
• Maintain organized estimating records and bid tracking
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating experience within civil construction, site development, grading, excavation, utilities, or related industries
• Experience using AGTEK software is required
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of earthwork, underground utilities, grading, and site development processes
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
• Field experience within civil/site construction is a plus
