Lambs Farm may be the place for you.SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and motivated Level I Therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through our Specialty Care Center. In this role, you will conduct behavioral health assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support meaningful participant outcomes.Reporting to the Behavioral Health Clinical Director, you will practice under clinical supervision while working toward independent licensure. This role offers an opportunity to strengthen your clinical skills, receive ongoing professional development and supervision, and contribute to the continued growth and innovation of behavioral health services at Lambs Farm.The RoleProvide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based, person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approachesComplete comprehensive behavioral health assessments, including IM+CANS assessments, in accordance with agency and payer requirementsDevelop, implement, review, and update individualized treatment plans based on participant goals and identified clinical needsMonitor participant progress and use clinical judgment to modify treatment approaches and interventions as appropriateHelp participants develop coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, communication skills, and healthy relationshipsComplete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, therapy documentation, and other required clinical records accurately and within established timelinesSubmit appropriate clinical documentation to support billing and reimbursement requirementsMaintain accurate electronic health records in accordance with organizational and regulatory standardsEnsure clinical documentation demonstrates medical necessity and uses appropriate professional clinical languageMaintain participant confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and applicable state and federal requirementsCollaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate participant care and treatment planningCommunicate professionally with participants, families, guardians, healthcare providers, and community partnersParticipate in case consultations, staffing meetings, and interdisciplinary treatment planningCoordinate referrals and connect participants with community resources when appropriateParticipate in ongoing clinical supervision while progressing toward independent professional licensurePractice in accordance with applicable professional licensing requirements, ethical standards, and codes of ethicsComplete required trainings, department meetings, continuing education, and professional development activitiesMaintain current knowledge of evidence-based behavioral health interventions and practices for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesRespond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises using approved de-escalation techniques and organizational safety proceduresParticipate in program improvement initiatives that support the continued development and growth of the Specialty Care CenterTravel locally on occasion for participant meetings, community coordination, or outreach activities as neededQualificationsMaster 's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another closely related behavioral health fieldCurrent provisional professional license in Illinois, such as LSW, LPC, or equivalent, requiredEligibility to pursue independent clinical licensure, such as LCSW, LCPC, or equivalentExperience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities requiredExperience providing behavioral health services in a clinical, community, educational, or healthcare setting preferredExperience conducting behavioral health assessments and developing treatment plans preferredWorking knowledge of the DSM-5-TR and behavioral health assessment principlesStrong clinical interviewing and therapeutic communication skillsExcellent clinical documentation and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management abilities with the ability to meet documentation and billing deadlinesSound clinical judgment and ability to maintain professional composure when supporting individuals experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health concernsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary teamCommitment to person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive careCommitment to participant dignity, autonomy, confidentiality, rights, and lived experiencesAbility to receive and incorporate clinical supervision and feedback into professional practiceProficiency in speaking, writing, and understanding EnglishProficiency with electronic health records, Microsoft Office applications, email, telehealth platforms when applicable, and standard computer systemsAbility to work in office, clinical, residential, and community-based environmentsAbility to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout campus and community locations for extended periodsAbility to comply with confidentiality standards, documentation requirements, organizational safety procedures, and applicable professional licensing regulationsCompensationThe annual salary for this role is $57,000 - 63,000 per yearDisclaimer: As part of the pre-employment process, all employees at Lambs Farm are required to successfully complete background and registry checks and medical screenings.
