Registered Nurse In Intensive Care Unit (ICU)As a Registered Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional healthcare to critically ill patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and specialized care. Your primary responsibilities will include:Perform thorough and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assessing the need for interventions.Provide specialized care to critically ill patients, including those with complex medical conditions, post-surgical recovery, and trauma-related injuries.Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation, ensuring proper settings and patient comfort.Administer medications, fluids, and blood products as prescribed, and monitor patient responses while maintaining accurate records.Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, including code blue situations, and provide immediate life-saving interventions.Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.Competently operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment used in the ICU.Strictly adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including assessments, interventions, and progress notes.Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
