Product Quality Specialist
Location: Cincinnati OH area (On-Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented Product Quality Specialist to ensure our products consistently meet quality, fit, and performance standards. In this role, you'll inspect products, maintain engineering documentation, investigate quality issues, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect new products and incoming inventory to verify quality standards.
- Compare products to OEM samples for fit, form, function, dimensions, finish, and material.
- Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Maintain quality records, engineering drawings, and an organized OEM sample library.
- Support new product quality validation and supplier quality processes.
- Investigate warranty claims, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Track quality trends and collaborate with Product Management, Sourcing, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, or a related technical field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in product quality, inspection, manufacturing, or quality assurance.
- Experience inspecting mechanical products and reading engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
- Strong Microsoft Office and database management skills.
- Experience with automotive products, ISO 9001, CAD, or Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a plus.
