Job Summary and Responsibilities The Inpatient Rehabilitation department at St. Catherine Hospital is a ten-bed, acute inpatient physical rehabilitation unit that cares for post-stroke and extremely debilitated patients, helping them rehabilitate to go home safely. The mission is to rehabilitate patients to their best quality of life. The team values collaboration, flexibility, and a strong educational program. Sign-on Bonus: Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team, patient, and family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promote the optimal health, well‑being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Job Requirements Education Requirements Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs. Experience Requirements One year RN experience. Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty. Licenses/Certification Requirements RN License required; current state nursing license or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact. Physical Requirements Medium Work – exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, or up to 10 lbs constantly. Where You'll Work St. Catherine Hospital, located in Garden City, Kansas.
