You will work closely with the shipping department and other warehouse material handlers to move finished product throughout the process. This is a first shift position. Hours are estimated to be Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm.This position is a union position and after completing a 60-day probationary period, must join to become a member of the Baker's Confectionary Tobacco Grain Milling (BCTGM) Union, Local 53.At Beech-Nut we are committed to a strong safety program that protects its staff, its property, and the babies & toddlers we feed. The candidate will also be required to work in a food manufacturing environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and uniform. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.What You'll Do…Safely operate equipment (sit down/stand up forklift, pallet jack, etc.) to accomplish job tasks and performs equipment inspections prior to useMust be able to lift up to 50lbs individually.Operate power equipment, such as pallet jacks to assemble customer orders with accuracyMove product throughout vertical racking and flow racking, shrink wrapping pallets and loading trucksUse scanning equipment or complete manual entries to ensure accurate and timely tracking of inventory. This includes processing accurate incoming receipts and outgoing shipments.Keep warehouse clean and organized to ensure a safe work environmentAssist in cycle counts and physical inventoriesSupport general housekeeping and sanitation within the work areaShip and label small parcel shipments for daily pick up by FedEx/UPSOther duties as assigned by supervisorWho You Are…You are able to set clearly defined objectives, establish priorities, plan activities and projects, and manage your time effectively.
