Job Details Location: Columbia City, IN Position Type: Part Time Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: Any Job Category: Health Care Hours: Community engagement staff may work up to 10 hour shifts per the family's schedule. Shifts may be scheduled any day of the week. You may work with multiple families, and driving from one home to the next is possible. Responsibilities Work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their family homes and out in the community Provide Respite, PAC, DHI, and Transportation services as qualified by the family Assist the client with light house cleaning, prep meals, and activities in the community Teach life skills and potentially help with ADLs (bathing, dressing, hygiene tasks) Drive within Indiana between families as needed Qualifications and Requirements 18 years or older High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver’s License Previous experience preferred (caregiver, CNA, DSP, etc.) Skills Required Compassionate, reliable, can work independently Training All training and certification is provided and paid for by AID of Indiana. Staff begin working on the clock as soon as training starts.
