Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, evenings\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Evenings, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level III Trauma Center experience and TNCC certification.Details\n \n Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center emergency department treating more than 60,000 patients annually across all age groups\n Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients\n Mid shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM\n 36 or 48 hours per week accepted\n Every other weekend required\n Holiday coverage required as scheduled\n Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals\n Uses Meditech EMR\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license, State of Alabama or Compact (no temporary licenses accepted)\n Current certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NIH or Red Cross equivalent\n TNCC certification required\n Associate degree in nursing required\n 2 years of experience required, with consideration given for 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license within the specialty\n NURSYS license verification required\n No license history issues (past or current) allowed\n Additional Information\n \n Work alongside a multidisciplinary ED team including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff\n Required to complete an on-site test in addition to an online pre-test prior to starting\n Virtual orientation includes competency-based training modules\n Dress code requires solid navy scrubs\n Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no mileage restrictions\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-743523.
