This employer is seeking an experienced Agronomist with solid Precision Ag understanding/knowledge to join an Exciting Midwestern Agronomy Services Team. In this role, you will:

- Be given the tools and training to build a successful Agronomy/Precision Ag business within your local home area and become a regional market leader

They offer a consultative, hands-on agronomic approach combining agronomic research with field-specific data at the local level. This organization is providing their clients with customized, actionable strategies to deliver sustainable results. ABOUT THE ROLE:
Backed by an outstanding team of proven Agronomy and Precision Ag professionals and armed with state-of-the-art, proprietary tools and resources, you will have the ability to:
- Provide your Ag grower clients with sound agronomic advice and exceptional tools to improve their ROI
- Set your own schedule for:
-- Scouting crops
-- Testing soil
-- Collecting spatial data
-- Writing agronomic recommendations and providing annual reviews for Ag grower clients
-- Visiting with your Ag grower clients to plan operational strategies including farm planning and rotational schedules
-- Setting up demonstration/test plots and working with research team members
-- Providing weekly updates to management team members
-- Mentoring seasonal college interns
Qualifications
- 4-year Agronomy or Ag-related degree with 2 years experience selling crop inputs to area Ag growers OR 2-year Ag-related degree with 5 years similar experience
- CCA certification or ability to obtain in 1st year of employment
- Current local Ag grower clients who consider you their Trusted Agronomic Advisor a MUST
- Hands-on knowledge of Precision Ag systems and tools
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, listening, writing and interpersonal
- Solid ability to influence outcomes and close a sale with strong focus on Ag grower needs
- Currently residing in/working from a East Central Illinois location
