About the Role:

The Security Guard plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of people, property, and assets within various environments across the United States. This position involves vigilant monitoring of premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security breaches, ensuring a safe atmosphere for employees, visitors, and clients. The Security Guard will be responsible for enforcing access control protocols, responding promptly to alarms and emergencies, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Through the use of wireless technology and radio communication, the guard will maintain constant situational awareness and effective communication with team members. Ultimately, this role is essential in protecting organizational resources and contributing to a secure and compliant operational environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid security guard license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Basic knowledge of access control procedures and fire safety protocols.
• Ability to operate radio communication devices and wireless security technology.
• Physical capability to perform repetitive motions and stand or patrol for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security or law enforcement roles.
• Training in first aid, CPR, or emergency response.
• Familiarity with advanced surveillance systems and environmental control technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles to maintain security of the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect and prevent signs of intrusion, fire hazards, or other safety concerns.
• Operate and monitor security equipment including fire alarms, environmental controls, and surveillance systems.
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or alarms, coordinating with emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, irregularities, and security breaches for management review.

The required skills such as access control and asset protection are fundamental in daily operations to ensure only authorized individuals gain entry and that company property remains secure.
