Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Department (Night Shift)

Location

Richmond, VA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Shifts are variable with a 7:00 PM start | Every other weekend may be required | No on-call obligation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department with a 5-bed fast track area, maintaining a 4:1 patient ratio
• Collaborate with charge nurses, technicians, and paramedics in a volume-driven, flex-staffing environment
• Assess, triage, and manage emergency patients across a broad acuity spectrum using critical thinking and sound clinical judgment
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Adapt to variable staffing levels based on patient volume and arrival patterns throughout the shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification
• ENPC certification
• CPI certification
• Strong interpersonal skills with a hard-working, outgoing, and critically minded approach to patient care
