Production Technician I - 2nd Shift

Production Technician

We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Production Technician to join our team in Mesa. This role is responsible for operating production equipment to manufacture high-quality Dyneema products in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Show behavior in line with SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) and Security policies. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately. Comply with all company procedures, including Mesa site requirements.
• Manufacturing Operations: Set up, operate, adjust, and clean production equipment according to work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Operate equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining product quality.
• Quality Control: Perform in-process inspections, take samples, and prepare them for quality testing. Ensure products meet specifications and document all required information accurately.
• Material Handling: Move raw, intermediate, and finished products using pallet jacks and overhead cranes. Maintain proper inventory levels of components and supplies.
• Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records, enter data into tracking systems, and complete all required logs and reports.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform minor preventive maintenance. Identify and report equipment or process issues to minimize downtime.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in SHE, Quality, and other improvement initiatives. Support Manufacturing Excellence programs and contribute ideas for process optimization.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with leads, maintenance, quality, and other teams to meet production goals.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (textile, composites, or similar preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment
• Basic math skills and problem-solving ability
• Ability to read gauges, dials, and follow detailed work instructions
• Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to lift, move materials, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Basic computer skills (Word, Access)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Fast-paced manufacturing setting with exposure to production equipment
• May involve handling hazardous materials (training provided)
• Strict adherence to safety, GMP, and quality standards required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50+ lbs, bend, reach, and work in varying temperatures
