Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience, BLS, and NRP certifications.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Up to 6 weekend shifts required per department needs
• Holiday coverage required per department needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
• NRP certification required (AHA/AAP-issued)
• Minimum 1 year of L&D nursing experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, managing pain including epidural support, assisting with vaginal and surgical deliveries, and educating families on postpartum recovery
• Serves as a primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient condition as appropriate
• Coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment
• Standard precautions and PPE protocols must be followed at all times
