Job Description

A Plumbing Estimator plays a crucial role in accurately forecasting project costs and ensuring efficient resource planning for medium commercial and mixed-size plumbing projects. Working independently while coordinating with multiple departments, the estimator analyzes blueprints, prepares bids, and manages project budgets with minimal site visits. Proficiency with specialized cost estimating software and a thorough understanding of plumbing codes is essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints to determine plumbing requirements
Prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets
Plan and allocate materials efficiently
Coordinate bid preparation and submissions
Collaborate with vendors for pricing and supplies
Assess project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

10 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and standards
Proficient in cost estimating software, adaptable to new tools
Skilled in blueprint reading
Experience in project and time management
Excellent communication and attention to detail
