$95k - $105kjobgether
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Program Manager, Health Science based in the United States.
Lead healthcare quality improvement initiatives that help hospitals and healthcare organizations deliver better cardiovascular and stroke care.
In this role, you will manage strategic customer relationships, oversee program implementation, and guide projects that translate clinical evidence into measurable improvements in patient outcomes.
You will collaborate with hospital leaders, clinical teams, emergency medical services (EMS), and healthcare stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and support the adoption of evidence-based practices.
Your responsibilities will span project delivery, data-driven decision-making, staff management, customer engagement, and the dissemination of successful care models.
You will also partner with sales and clinical teams to expand program participation, strengthen customer retention, and help reduce health disparities.
This opportunity combines healthcare expertise, relationship management, and program leadership within a mission-driven environment focused on improving population health.
The position is full-time and remote, with occasional travel and funding currently secured through December 15, 2028, with the possibility of extension.
Accountabilities:
As a Sr. Program Manager, Health Science, you will oversee customer-facing quality improvement programs, manage project deliverables, and build lasting partnerships with healthcare organizations to improve clinical processes and outcomes.
Program Implementation and Delivery: Lead the implementation and delivery of health science programs across hospitals, healthcare systems, outpatient and post-acute facilities, and EMS organizations.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare executives, clinical leaders, decision-makers, program champions, frontline staff, and data abstractors to support engagement and program success.
Quality Improvement Consultation: Work with hospital teams to identify and resolve quality measure compliance issues, optimize program participation, and improve the value and return on investment of supported products and services.
Project and Team Management: Manage staff responsible for assigned projects, establish priorities, oversee deliverables, monitor timelines, and maintain accountability for individual and team performance.
Customer Retention and Account Growth: Provide high-quality account support, assess program participation, identify opportunities to expand into additional quality initiatives, and collaborate with internal teams to strengthen customer relationships.
Data and Performance Reporting: Track program activities, customer interactions, project progress, and outcomes using customer relationship management tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, the Get With The Guidelines (GWTG) Registry Platform, and other relevant healthcare IT systems.
Clinical Education and Workshops: Organize, plan, and deliver accredited and non-accredited workshops, helping healthcare professionals apply evidence-based guidelines and improve clinical performance.
Territory Planning and Collaboration: Partner with sales teams to develop and implement territory and state plans that support organizational objectives, generate revenue, and reduce health disparities.
Learning Collaboratives: Facilitate collaborative learning sessions among hospitals to identify strategies for improving guideline-directed medical therapy and develop approaches for sharing successful care models across a national network.
Patient Pathway Analysis: Conduct process mapping to understand patient journeys across relevant disease states and identify opportunities to improve care delivery.
Knowledge Dissemination: Share project findings and successful practices through national platforms, including webinars, conferences, and podcasts.
Research and Innovation: Collaborate with hospitals to identify research opportunities using program products and data to advance clinical quality improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Apply quality improvement methodologies and program expertise to strengthen implementation processes, improve outcomes, and support the long-term success of participating organizations.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate combines healthcare experience, cardiovascular clinical quality improvement expertise, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to build trusted relationships with healthcare stakeholders.
A bachelor's degree in a health-related field; a master's degree is preferred.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience working in an acute care hospital on cardiovascular clinical quality or process improvement projects, or within a national cardiac quality improvement program that incorporates data collection into a structured improvement framework.
Experience supporting cardiovascular services within hospitals or healthcare systems, particularly in coronary artery disease, including STEMI and NSTEMI, heart failure, and/or stroke care.
Strong understanding of clinical quality improvement processes, healthcare performance measures, and evidence-based care practices.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, including the ability to analyze information and prepare clear, effective presentations.
Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations and facilitate discussions with both small and large groups.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clinical teams, healthcare executives, and other stakeholders.
Confidence working virtually with customers through platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple deliverables, monitor progress, and maintain accountability.
Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) credential.
Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience participating in collaborative learning groups or hospital-based learning collaboratives.
Experience with healthcare quality improvement systems.
Familiarity with Systems of Care initiatives and the cardiovascular patient care continuum, including EMS, payers, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and post-acute care.
Experience translating clinical data and quality improvement findings into practical strategies for improving patient outcomes.
Benefits:
Salary: Expected annual pay range of $95,000–$105,000, depending on experience and applicable geographic differentials.
Medical Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Financial Protection: Disability and life insurance.
Retirement Planning: Comprehensive retirement program with employer matching and automatic contributions.
Performance and Recognition: Annual salary planning and potential incentive programs, depending on position eligibility.
Paid Time Off: At least 16 days of PTO per year for new employees, with additional days based on seniority.
Paid Holidays: 12 paid holidays annually, including several days off at the end of the year.
Employee Well-Being: Employee assistance resources, wellness programs, telemedicine, and medical consultation services.
Professional Development: Access to Heart U, an online learning platform offering more than 100,000 learning resources.
Career Growth: Mentoring and employee resource group opportunities.
