Registered Behavioral Technician

Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)Qualifications: High School Diploma, or higher degree. Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification or desire to work toward receiving your RBT certification with guidance provided by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. One (1) years of direct ABA experience, preferred.Job Goal: Provide social skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism, Social Emotional Disabilities, and related developmental disabilities, collect data on programs, assist with teachers and staff training, and assist with behavioral assessments, support classrooms and model behavioral supports and interventions to school staff in a school setting under the supervision of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Behavior Specialist.Responsibilities/Duties:Performance Responsibilities: Planning/Preparation, Administrative/Management, Assessment/Evaluation, Intervention/Direct Services, Collaboration, Staff Development, Professional ResponsibilitiesPhysical Requirements: Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects. In an emergency, a physical therapist may be required to restrain a physically active individual as a temporary safety precaution. Provide therapeutic handling, or transfer of student. Ability to actively perform work in classroom, office, and other business and community settings. Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (typically involving frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting). Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to weather conditions. Ability to travel outside the district for a variety of meetings and conferences.Terms of Employment: Calendar Months: 10 Month Salary Schedule: Non-Instructional (Bargaining) Pay Grade: 99 Salary and Benefits as determined and approved annually by Hendry County School Board. This position is entirely dependent on grant funding. Employment is contingent upon the continuation of grant funding. In the event that grant funding is reduced or discontinued, this position may be affected, up to and including termination of employment. Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board Policies for evaluation of administrative personnel.
